Teaching about Climate Change: Our Time is Now
A Conference for Educators
Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019, 8:00AM-3:00PM, Erie 1 BOCES, 355 Harlem, W. Seneca, NY

Picture
Teachers: Learn how to address climate change in your curriculum and how to inspire your students to be part of its worldwide solution. Perfect for Social Studies, ELA, Science, STEM, and Librarian educators, this event will provide standards-based, best practices to teach about the climate crisis through the lens of a variety of disciplines.

Likewise, seeing that climate change is a multifaceted issue, all applicants are encouraged--but not required--to apply with “teams” of their colleagues from other subjects, allowing the topic to be properly covered from a variety of angles.

The event is sponsored by the Summer Institute for Human Rights and Genocide Studies of Buffalo, Erie I BOCES, Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES,  Orleans-Niagara BOCES, as well as several other educational organizations. It is open to any secondary educator, administrator, or curriculum chair from any private or public institution.

Designed by educators, for educators, this event is expected to sell out.
